RCP48CU
USB converter for CHIP contact cards
RCP 48 CU
RCP 48 CU złącza
Product description (expand/ collapse)
The converter is equipped with an electronic microprocessor system. It has a built-in USB / 485 converter. Inside the plastic housing there is a head pocket that reads the codes of electronic memory cards (“chip” cards). Thanks to galvanic isolation, the computer is protected against the effects of surges that may appear on the very long cables connecting the RCPX8 system readers. On the back of the housing there are two connector sockets: USB type B to the USB port in the computer and RJ12 to the LPS1 box of the RCPX8 system. Sockets with the attached cables allow you to connect the device to the computer and to the network of readers of the RCPX8 system safely and without mistakes.
Zasada działania (rozwiń/zwiń)
The RCP48CU converter, due to the galvanic isolation between the computer and the network of readers, is powered from both sides. From the side of the readers (RS485), apart from the communication signals A and B, the 12V power supply is supplied – the same that supplies the main readers. On the computer side, special, energy-saving electronic systems were used, which made it possible to power this part of the reader system directly from the computer port – without the need for a separate power supply. In the converter operation mode, the device works fully automatically without any service from the system operator. In the case of entering ID codes into the system, the operator’s task is to insert the given identifier into the slot in the reader housing, call the appropriate function in the RCP58 computer program and eject the identifier from the reader after a message on the screen.
