By presenting (inserting) the card to the reader, the employee registers his Entry, Exit or Business Exit. If the reader is installed in front of the entrance door to the company, then two functions can be combined in such a reader: registration of the beginning of work and control of the entrance to the company.<\/p>\n<h3>RCP 58 computer program. Settlement of working time.<\/h3>\n<p>Recorded events are stored in the non-volatile internal memory of the reader. The readers work autonomously &#8211; there is no need for constant computer control of their work.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/index.php\/rcp-i-kd-2\/rcp-58\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">The RCP 58 <\/a> computer program enables events to be retrieved from the readers&#8217; memory, archived, as well as employee permissions to be set in individual readers. It is intuitive and convenient, and in the full version it becomes an advanced tool for calculating employee working time and creating various types of reports, and it works with HR and payroll programs. It also allows for quasi-network operation &#8211; in addition to the program installed on the computer to which the internal reader is connected, the Browser version of the program can be installed on any number of computers, allowing for full processing of the RCP 58 system data.<\/p>\n<h3>Installation of the RCP X8 time registration system.<\/h3>\n<p>In the simplest installation, the readers in the RCP X8 system are connected in parallel with a four-wire cable that supplies the readers and transmits data to and from the computer. With the RCP48LS converter it is possible to make connections using the local LAN network.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1567684485636{padding-top: 3% !important;padding-bottom: 3% !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h1><a id=\"dzialanie\"><\/a>How does RCP-X8 work?<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Identifiers<\/h3>\n<p>Each employee must be equipped with an ID. The identifiers used in the RCP-X8 system have codes that are unique in the world (the so-called ID). For proximity readers (RCP78AR), RFID tags are available in two versions: in the form of white, rectangular cards, the size of a credit card or in the form of key rings that the employee can attach to e.g. keys. For dip card readers (RCP68C), these are white, rectangular, credit-card-sized chip cards.<\/p>\n<p>Each employee is represented in the system by an individual number in the range 1-999. When an employee is assigned an identifier, a pair is created in the system database: employee number &#8211; identifier code. While the identifier can be changed to an employee at any time (it is accompanied by appropriate procedures in the computer program), the change of the number for a given employee may cause problems with proper reporting of his work &#8211; therefore, for example, when dismissing an employee from work, it is recommended to leave his number for a minimum month &#8222;dead&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h3>Event logging. Readers recording working time.<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_02_l.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3289 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_02_l.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"170\" height=\"133\" \/><\/a>The employee is obliged to register each of his entry, exit or business exit from the company by contacting the identifier with the reader, which is usually hung on the wall near the door. The contact of the identifier, depending on the type of reader, is carried out either by bringing the identifier close to the reader &#8211; it applies to readers<a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/index.php\/rcp-i-kd-2\/rcp-78-ar\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">RCP78AR<\/a>, or by inserting the card into the slot in the reader &#8211; applies to readers<a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/index.php\/rcp-i-kd-2\/rcp-68-c\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"> RCP68C<\/a>. Recognition of the identifier is signaled by the reader by displaying the employee&#8217;s number. At the same time, the reader will inform the employee about the recorded event with a gentle sound signal: the so-called with a three-squeak. The system operator, who from the <a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/index.php\/rcp-i-kd-2\/rcp-58\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">The RCP58 <\/a> program saves the permissions of this identifier in the reader&#8217;s memory. Data on entries and exits (so-called events) are saved in the reader&#8217;s memory. They must later be transferred to the computer. This is called downloading events that should be carried out using a computer program when we want to perform a given report or more often.<a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_03_l.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3290 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_03_l.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"170\" height=\"130\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Regular and frequent downloading of events is beneficial for two reasons: firstly, the program downloads from the reader events that have not been downloaded before and, therefore, the operation is short-lived, and secondly, a copy (security) of events recorded in the reader is created on the computer&#8217;s hard drive. In the full version of the program, downloading events can be entrusted to automatic mechanisms configured by the user.<\/p>\n<h3>Converters. Connection of the reader network with the PC.<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_04_r.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3291 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_04_r.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"173\" height=\"126\" \/><\/a>The computer is connected to the network of readers (regardless of the number of readers) by means of a device called Converter. In the case of the proximity system, it is the RCP78WR or RCP78WU converter. For the chip system &#8211; RCP58WC converter. The converter performs three functions: it carries out an automatic two-way conversion of signals from the RS485 standard to RS232 or USB, galvanically isolates the computer from the RCP-X8 system, and thanks to the installed reading head, it allows you to enter ID codes into the system database. Creating connections in the RCP-X8 system is very simple. It is based on a four-wire bus &#8211; please refer to the example connection diagrams in the Technical Information of any reader.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_05_r.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3292 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_05_r.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"173\" height=\"144\" \/><\/a>The converter should be installed directly next to the computer on which the RCP58 program is installed. Readers recording events can be (regardless of the number of readers) distant from the computer up to 2000m &#8211; calculated as the length of the connecting cable. If the reader controls the electromagnetic catch, make sure that the power supply is installed closer to the control reader than to the converter.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Room access control<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_06_r.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3293 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_06_r.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" height=\"159\" \/><\/a>Each RCP-X8 reader can also control access to selected rooms. If we install an electromagnetic bolt in the door of the selected room and connect it to the reader, the reader will decide when to open the door. An employee who is authorized to enter this room has an &#8222;authorized&#8221; card. This means that when this card is brought close to the reader, the reader will activate the bolt and the door can be opened. This will not be possible with an unauthorized card. Application of readers <a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/index.php\/rcp-i-kd-2\/rcp-78-ar\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">RCP78AR<\/a> enables the use of a new function in the RCP-X8 system &#8211; <b> daily activity of the reader <\/b> &#8211; the user can set 12 independent time intervals during the day in which the reader is active. In this way, you can, for example, share a given room not only with selected people, but also in strictly defined time periods.<\/p>\n<h3>RCP58 computer program. Working time record.<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_07_r.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3294 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_07_r.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"203\" \/><\/a>The entire system is operated using the <a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/index.php\/rcp-i-kd-2\/rcp-58\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"> computer program RCP58 &lt; \/ a&gt;. In this program, numbers and identifiers are assigned to individual employees, it can be determined in which readers a given identifier (employee) is to be authorized. Also, the operation of the entire system is controlled thanks to many available tests. The program calculates working time and creates various reports analyzing the workflow of employees and all entrances to controlled rooms. In the standard version, the operator has full control over the readers and can perform basic reports. In the full version of the program, you can additionally export data to other HR and payroll programs, enter employee work plans and based on them, perform many analytical reports on the workflow of employees and use many other useful functions.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1567684485636{padding-top: 3% !important;padding-bottom: 3% !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/a><\/p>\n<h1><a id=\"firma\"><\/a>Work time recording, access control &#8211; what components should I choose so that the RCP-X8 system works best for my company?<\/h1>\n<h3>Company with up to 20 employees:<\/h3>\n<p>We offer a working time registration system based on chip identifiers. The minimum set of necessary elements (excluding the power supply) is shown in the photo below. These are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RCP68C reader &#8211; 1 <\/li>\n<li>RCP58WC converter- 1 <\/li>\n<li>ZN12\/500 power supply &#8211; 1 <\/li>\n<li>proper number of chip cards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_08_r.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3297 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/wiecej_o_rcp_08_r.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"164\" \/><\/a>The minimum net price of such a set (without installation costs) is about PLN 300. Please see the price list. Connection cables are not included. Due to the availability and low price, we suggest using a typical UTP cable. Such a system can always be extended with additional readers. We recommend replacing the power supply with a ZD40 buffer power supply and supplementing it with a UZB27 device, which will ensure the possibility of recording events also in the event of a power outage in the 230V power network.<\/p>\n<p>The advantages of the proposed solution are primarily the price and extremely simple installation.<br \/>\nThe disadvantages are, firstly, the inability to install <a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/index.php\/rcp-i-kd-2\/rcp-68-c\/\" target=\"_ blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> RCP68C reader <\/a> outside the building. Secondly, using one reader to record three different events (IN, OUT, OUT-SL) requires employees&#8217; attention during registration &#8211; the employee, before inserting the card into the reader, has to decide what kind of event he wants to register by pressing the appropriate button. Any mistakes made by employees can be corrected later in <a href=\"https:\/\/lepson.pl\/index.php\/rcp-i-kd-2\/rcp-58\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> computer program <\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Company with more than 20 employees:<\/h3>\n<p>In every larger company, or one that, incurring a higher expenditure at a time, wants to receive more opportunities, we offer an RFID proximity system. The minimum set of necessary elements (excluding the power supply) is shown in the photo below.
